http://forums.rxmuscle.com/showthread.php?t=130621. Lodging: I was looking at hotel prices on every discount website for almost 4 months. You get screwed when you book to early. I ended up booking my room 6 days out. I stayed at the Tropicana for $35.00 a night instead of the average of $99 per night I would have paid if I booked earlier. The room was not 5 star but who give a shit. How much time do you spend in the room?
Logement :ne pas réserver trop tôt .Le gars a payé 35$ la nuit au Tropicana (à 6 jours de la compète) au lieu de 99 s'il avait réservé à l'avance .Tip...Don't bother staying at the Orleans (where the event is held). To far from the strip (action) and pricing sucks given the age of the hotel. I stayed there the first year I went. Not worth the cash. I did enjoy riding in the elevator with a lot of the pros and watching the hot girls do photo shoots by the pool.
Transportation: Drive your car if you can. Car pool with other meat heads. This will take a little longer but you will have transportation while you are there and will save you money. I believe taking a car is critical Take a car that has some extra room if you can. I will explain why later.
I found a time share company that was willing to give me $150 in gas cards if I took a 90 minute tour of their new vacation facilities. The gas for my Olympia trip was paid for by these nice people. No. I did not buy a timeshare.
3. Food: Come on…its Vegas. Cheap ass buffets. We enjoyed the Excalibur buffet. If anyone has other suggestions feel free to add.
Nourriture :de nombreux buffets à bas prix .La nourriture ne coûte rien à Vegas .4. Olympia Expo: This is the event you need to attend. It is held at the LV Convention Center. It costs $15.00 per day and is open for 5-7 hours a day. Last 2 days so your out $30.00. Here's what I got for my $30.00
Expo :sur 2 jours ,15$ chacun .-52 t-shirts (YES! 52. mostly XL and XXL). Perfect gym shirts. Everyone asks me where I got them.
Le gars a récupéré 52 t-shirts gratuits .-Enough supplement samples to last all year. Fat burners, NO products, creatine, protein powder, bars, rtd's, etc. I have tried them all. Most supp companies are not tight about giving out product. I got a bunch from BSN, VPX, Champion, Nutrex, etc.
Plein d'échantillons de suppléments Note: EFX was WAY tight and their reps were NOT friendly. We bought 6 bottles of Kre-alklyn and they were still rude. Flex was there and seemed very put out when I asked him to sign the pic we took together the year before. No more EFX for me.
-Discounted product on the last day near closing (supp companies don’t want to transport it back to their offices). I bought 4ever fit 4.4 isolate for $15.00. I bought 6.
Des produits à prix réduit .4.4 lbs de 4ever fit isolate à 15$ par exemple .-Photos taken with all of the Pros and people I like and a few I don't (got pic with blechman before the "incident"). (Got photo with Palumbo, Romano, Kai, Victor, Wolf, Ronnie, Branch, Jay, Dex, Phil, Johnnie, Melvin, Markus, Evan, etc) I left with several hundred pics.
My girl went nuts about this.
Des fringues à prix réduit .-Got to watch the Ms. Olympia and Figure pre-judging ( I sat next to Lenda Murry the first year I went), power lifting events (say a guy try 1000lbs bench. he almost lost his head.)
-So many energy drinks I could keep every member of rxmuscle awake for a week.
-Autographs from all pros.
A eu plein d'autographes des pros .-Samples of protein bar were passed around so you were always has a smack if you needed it.
Des morceaux de barres protéinées sont distribués partout .-UFC and WWE stars were there in force. Not my thing but the line were long for these guys.
Des stars de l'UFC et de la WWE sont également présentes .Tip: You need to take a car because you may leave with so much stuff from the expo that you will not be able to get it on the plane. We took my 4 door Honda civic one year/ The entire trunk and back seat were full to the roof. The back of the car was almost dragging. We will take the minivan this year.
If you are a fan of supplements and a good deal the expo is the only way to go. Crazy low pricing. You will need a way to get it home.
4. Meet The Champions: It's FREE!!!!!!!!! This event is held on Thursday night. It is open to the public 1 hour after the people who bought tickets have gone in. Almost every Pro in the Olympia is there and ready to sign autographs, take photos, and sell their products. Once you are inside you need to have a plan. Some lines are crazy long (Cutler, Wolf, Phil, Dex). I was there with a group of 4. We have the girls stand in the long lines while we ran around and got photos with the other pros. If you don't go with a group make some friends in line and team up. It will make a huge difference.
At least 1 hour before. Two reasons for this. All of the pros walk down the hall right past you. I got my photos with romano and palumbo this way. It also gives you time to meet other people there for the weekend and you can make a few friends. Helps with the strategy inside the Meet the Pros event and you can hang out over the rest of the weekend. We hung out with a lot of the people we met.
Event is held at the Orleans Hotel
5. Olympia Press conference: Never went. Was told I didn’t miss anything.
Total cost of our trip including food and supps we bought: $500.00 for 2 people.
Worth every penny.
If you are going to the show add several hundred dollars to the price of the trip. Our first trip cost over $2500.00.
